'Dancing With The Stars' 2015 Theories: 7 Dream Couples We Want To See Paired Up In Season 21
In just a few days the entire Season 21 cast of “Dancing With the Stars” will be unveiled on “Good Morning America.” And while we’re looking forward to finding out which celebs will be shaking it out on the ballroom floor when the hit ABC competition returns this fall, we’re even more excited to learn which professional partners will be paired with the show’s red carpet stars.
On Aug. 19, nine professional dancers confirmed their participation in the upcoming season, set to premiere on Monday, Sept. 14, during a segment on “GMA.” According to reports, Mark Ballas, Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Allison Holker, Derek Hough, Peta Murgatroyd and a very special “DWTS” alum would be partaking in the anticipated installment.
“I am back!” fan favorite dancer Karina Smirnoff revealed her return to the show on the ABC morning show. The brunette beauty, who has competed on every season on “DWTS” since Season 3, took a break from the series during the competition’s twentieth installment. But now she’s back – and ready to win the coveted Mirror Ball trophy.
“I couldn’t tell [fans] that I was coming back because I couldn’t let the cat out of the bag. But the cat is here!” she quipped.
However the biggest secret being kept from audiences is who the pros will be partnering up with during Season 21 of the long-running series. Although we won’t know the official pairing until Wednesday, Sept. 2, which is when the celebrity rooster will be unveiled, we have a wish list of which couples we'd like to see shake it out on the ballroom floor below:
Carson previously divulged that she’d love to be paired up with movie star Zac Efron, so we think it would be fun to see see her shimmy next to the adorable Vine star Hayes Grier, who announced his participation on Thursday via Twitter.
Meanwhile Smirnoff dished that her dream partner would by Ryan Gosling, which is why we’d think the blonde-haired “Backstreet Boys” singer Nick Carter would be a perfect fit for her. Both Hollywood hunks have a passion for music – not to mention are easy on the eyes!
We think Ballas would be the ideal partner for animal-lover Bindi Irwin considering he’s done relatively well with younger partners in the past. In Season 19 he sashayed around the stage with Sadie Robertson, winning second place on the competition, and in Season 20 he wowed audiences with the show’s youngest competitor “Hunger Games” star Willow Shields.
We’re also crossing our fingers that Chigvintsev gets partnered up with actress Alexa Vega, while Vega’s husband, Carlos Pena, Jr., gets paired with the Season 20’s third place winner Burgess.
Despite not being able to pick a partner for Grammy-winning artist Chaka Khan or Triple Crown-winning jockey Victor Espinoza just yet, we have a feeling they’d be well paired with Tony Dovolani and Kym Johnson – that is, if the two professional dancers were to join Season 21 of the competition. We also have a feeling ABC is saving Hough, Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd for contestants who have not yet been named.
Sound off in the comments sections below which celebrity contestants you want to be partnered up with your favorite professional dancers and don’t forget to tune into “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, Sept. 2, to see if your “Dancing With the Stars” predictions were right.
