‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2015 Theories: Who Will Be Sent Home During Week 8’s Double Elimination?
Things just got a bit more interesting on Season 20 of “Dancing with the Stars.” It was revealed on Thursday that the hit ABC series would be going back to its original format of two episodes a week, kicking off with the double elimination on Tuesday night.
That’s right, two out of the remaining six couples will be asked to hang up their dancing shoes during Week 8 of the 2015 competition. But which dancing duo will be the one to get the boot on May 5? We’ve theorized who might not make it to Week 9 below:
- Chris Soules & Witney Carson
Sorry, “Bachelor” fans, but unfortunately for Prince Farming, it looks as though he could be on the chopping block to get eliminated during Week 8. Not only has the ABC star earned some of the lowest scores in the competition but he and Witney have also been called safe last the most throughout Season 20. Hopefully “Bachelor” nation can come to Chris’ rescue to help him advance to next week.
- Robert Herjavec & Kym Johnson
The “Shark Tank” star and his partner may have undeniable chemistry on the ballroom floor but do they have the skills to help them make it to the finale? Like Chris and Witney, Robert and Kym have received the lowest score in the competition three times -- including Week 7 when they walked away with a 31 out of 40.
“Your dancing is like chutes and ladders. One week you’re up one, week you’re down,” judge Len Goodman said to the entrepreneur before adding that his Week 7 Tango was “up.” Let’s just hope Robert won’t slide back down the ladder this upcoming episode.
The only couple who will be safe from eliminations is Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough who were granted immunity for their Modern Charleston routine during “Eras Night.” Nastia shook it out with troupe member Sasha Farber (who is standing in for Derek while he recovers from his injuries), earning the night’s top score of a 38/40.
“I’m so proud of you. Tonight you were dancing. That’s the only thing that was different -- you were just dancing,” judge Carrie Anna Inaba said to the Olympian.
Although we have our guesses of who might get sent home from “DWTS” during Week 8’s double elimination, you never really know who could get axed from the competition. Week 7 shocked judges and fans alike when “Hunger Games” star Willow Shields and Mark Ballas were asked to sashay off the ballroom floor.
“Yeah, I mean, I was extremely shocked,” contestant Riker Lynch admitted to Access Hollywood that he was surprised to see the actress go. “It would have been shocking whoever was going home that week, but like Willow could have been in the finals. So her going home that early, that was what the big shocker was I think, to all of us, and all of us on stage were like, 'Wait, wait. What happened?' It was a crazy moment.”
