‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2016 Spoilers: Week 5 Switch-Up Partners Revealed; Who Will Be The New Couples?
The Season 22 cast of “Dancing With the Stars” is about to shake things! During Week 5 of the hit ABC competition, the remaining nine couples will each swap partners, giving the celebrity dancers a chance to bust a move with someone new on the dance floor.
But who did viewers decide to pair together for the anticipated theme? Well, it looks like one of the duos determined by fans will have a leg up on the competition when they hit the dance floor Monday night.
Jodie Sweetin and Val Chmerkovskiy, who shook it out together during Season 1 of “Fuller House,” will perform a paso doble in the upcoming installment. And from the sexy routine we watched them throw down in episode 3 of the Netflix series, we have a feeling these two may have what it takes to get Jodie her first nine of the season.
Meanwhile Jodie’s partner Keo Motsepe will have a chance to perform a high-energy Viennese waltz with the energetic Kim Fields while Val’s ballroom buddy sways with Mark Ballas during a salsa routine. Paige VanZant will then be left with Sasha Farber to perform the only rumba of the night. Can Kim’s partner help Paige keep up her winning streak? (Paige earned the highest score of the night for her Week 4 quick step.)
Wanya Morris and Von Miller will swap partners, giving Witney Carson a chance to perform a tango with the Boyz II Men singer and allowing Lindsay to jive it out with the Super Bowl MVP. Speaking of football players, Antonio Brown will perform the cha cha during Week 5 with Karina Smirnoff while Karina’s partner sashays his way over to rehearsals to learn the tango with Peta Murgatroyd.
This means audiences will get a chance to see Sharna Burgess perform a Viennese waltz with Peta’s partner Nyle DiMarco. And apparently we’re not the only ones excited to see this particular Week 5 couple take the dance floor. During an interview with International Business Times, Nyle revealed the he was looking forward to the big Switch-Up.
“[The Switch-Up] won’t be easy, but I know I, as a deaf person, will make [my partner] a better teacher and make an impact on her world,” Nyle explained the benefit of the Week 5 theme. “The more people I make an impact on, the more of a strong ripple effect it will make on the world.”
Fans can catch Season 22's Week 5 Switch-Up of “Dancing With the Stars” on Monday, April 18, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
