‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2016 Spoilers: What Season 22 Team Won The Week 7 Group Dance? [VIDEO]
For the first time ever on “Dancing With the Stars” the ladies of the hit ABC series went toe-to-toe with the guys of Season 22 during an anticipated, Week 7 group dance. So, which group won the battle of the sexes?
Well, according to the judges it was a close call! While the ladies ran the ballroom during their Beyoncé inspired routine, the men dazzled audiences with their swanky performance sound tracked to a medley of James Brown tunes. And, ultimately, it was Team James Brown who came out on top, earning two points higher than the ladies.
“The whole night has been amazing and when I look at you people, you not only had to learn your personal dance but come out dance tight, get it together … I salute you,” judge Len Goodman praised the boys, Nyle DiMarco, Wanya Morris, Von Miller and Antonio Brown.
Judge Bruno Tonioli then gave Wanya a gold star for being the “leader of the pack” while also giving thumbs up to the partners of Team James Brown.
Although the men scored higher than the ladies, judge Carrie Ann Inaba stated that a reason she critiqued the women more harshly was because they “upped the anti.”
“All of you brought your nasty game out today,” she told Jodie Sweetin, Paige VanZant, Kim Fields and Ginger Zee, adding that she respected Team Beyoncé for pushing themselves. “I respect that you guys challenged yourselves. You gave me different choreography and styles.”
Len was so impressed with the group numbers that it even left him baffled as to who could end up winning Season 22 of “Dancing With the Stars.”
“I’m concerned with the whole competition. Six couples [will be] left. I have no clue who’s going to take that Mirror Ball trophy because I think the competition is just fantastic.”
