‘Dancing With The Stars’ 2017: How The Season 24 Duos Prepared For Week 7

It’s business as usual for the “Dancing With the Stars” Season 24 pairs following the shocking Week 6 elimination of Maksim Chmerkovskiy and partner Heather Morris. The duos got back in the studio to perfect their moves in the hopes of surviving Monday’s elimination.

In Week 7, the pairs will be performing a routine that captures the essence of a movie genre. The pair with the highest score will be granted immunity and will be spared from participating in a dance off. At the end of the night not one, but two “DWTS” couples will be going home.

The remaining seven teams spent this last week working hard on their Week 7 routines. Some teased what’s to come on Instagram, while others left “DWTS” fans in the dark. Here’s what the stars and their pro partners have in store for Monday’s show:

Team Golden Giggles

Sasha Farber and Simone Biles will be performing a Charleston routine on Monday night. The pair spent the weekend nailing their characters for the dance as well as their moves. Sasha shared a photo of he and Simone smiling at one another during their camera blocking session and it appears whatever they’ve got planned for Week 7 is as adorable as everything else we’ve seen them do in the competition.

Team Denim N Diamonds

Sharna Burgess and Bonner Bolton are tapping into his cowboy roots for their Week 7 performance. They’ll be doing a Paso Doble and it looks like they plan to step out in the “DWTS” ballroom with guns a blazing! Sharna shared a behind-the-scenes look at she and Bonner in full costume and fans are obsessed.

She also posted a photo from their camera blocking session, which suggests things are going to get messy during their intense dance. In the Instagram photo Sharna can be seen standing among shattering furniture. It appears “DWTS” troupe members Alan Bersten and Brandon Armstrong will be assisting them in bringing their country western vision to life Monday night.

Bonner shared a few photos of his own, revealing that he and Sharna will be tapping into Wild Bill Hickock and Calamity Jane in Week 7. The professional bull rider shared a sexy picture of himself wearing his costume while staring off into the distance. While it says little about what he’s going to bring to the dance, we’re sure fans don’t mind looking!

Team Shad Squad

Emma Slater and Rashad Jennings took getting into character to another level ahead of Week 7 on “DWTS.” The pair will be bringing to life a very elaborate horror story about Sir Damien Octavious May, who enjoys luring victims into the woods to strangle them and dance with their bodies. Creepy!

This “DWTS” Season 24 pair will also be performing a Paso Doble on Monday. As they have week after week, Rashad and Emma poured their hearts and souls into this routine. The NFL superstar shared a photo from one of their weekend practices which suggests their routine is going to be full of intense emotion.

It wasn’t all serious for Rashad and Emma during practices. The “DWTS” pro shared a video from behind the scenes of a hilarious shoot with her amateur partner. In the clip, Rashad works to perfect his scared face while lathering up in a kiddie pool.

Team Valmani

Val Chmerkovskiy and Normani Kordei are bringing romance to the set of “DWTS” with their Argentine Tango routine. The Season 24 pro shared photos from a shoot for the cover of their foreign film that are almost too cute for words. In the stills, Val’s shown riding a bike while Normani sits on the handlebars smiling from ear-to-ear.

Adorable as those images are, it’s this practice photo that’s really left us breathless. The image shows Val teaching Normani the Argentine Tango. While she may have been unfamiliar with the style coming into “DWTS” Season 24, it seems she’s got it down. We can’t wait to see them in action on Monday!

Team Lady and the Gramp (Lindsay Arnold and David Ross), Team Blades of Glory (Artem Chigvintsev and Nancy Kerrigan) and Team Baby Got Bach (Peta Murgatroyd and Nick Viall) have not shared any practice updates. They’ll be performing a Salsa routine, a Tango and an Argentine Tango respectively. Here’s hoping they wow “DWTS” viewers with whatever they cooked up in the studio in secret.
