  • She uploaded a clip of her flipping her hair to mark the occasion
  • The professional dancer quit drinking in the summer of 2018

Cheryl Burke proudly celebrated her sobriety milestone on social media.

On Sunday, the "Dancing With the Stars" pro, 38, uploaded a video on TikTok showing her rocking different outfits while sharing the news with her fans. Without saying anything in the clip, Burke expressed how happy she was for herself by writing an overlay text that read, "Realizing I just celebrated four years of sobriety."

At the start of the video, she sat on a couch while rocking a beige blazer on top of a matching black workout ensemble. She also had a black Adidas cap on her head.

Toward the end of the clip, she ditched her cap and beige blazer for a pair of sunglasses and a black leather rocker jacket. She ended the clip by opening her jacket and flipping her hair.

Burke's post was quickly met with positive messages. Many congratulated her for staying sober. Others complimented her for being an inspiration.

"Congratulations!!! It's been such an inspiring journey, and you've helped so many," one wrote.

"Self-improvement is the most beautiful trait! Keep improving each day! Inspiring," another added.

"Congratulations! Sober looks amazing on you" a different user commented.

The choreographer decided to quit drinking after her engagement party with Matthew Lawrence in the summer of 2018, as per Page Six. The couple already called it quits, with Burke filing for divorce in February, but she's remained committed to her sobriety.

Speaking of her decision to stop drinking, the "Dance Moms" coach revealed on the "LadyGang" podcast in September 2020 that it had something to do with her dad, who was an alcoholic.

"My father passed away, and my dad was an alcoholic. So either I was gonna crash and burn and check myself into rehab, or I was gonna just quit cold turkey," she explained at the time.

Last month, Burke dropped a bombshell when she revealed that she struggled with body dysmorphia, and it got worse because of "DWTS," where she has been a series regular since 2006.

"I have body dysmorphia because I'm a dancer. ... I was pretty skinny and yet I was still giving wardrobe hassle in our fittings. Like meaning not hassling them, more like, 'Ugh I feel like sh-t' or 'Oh my god look at my fat roll.' It's so ridiculous," she said while recalling her experience on the show.
