‘Dancing With The Stars’ Pro Sasha Farber Proposes During Season 23, Week 4; Which Pairs Were Eliminated?
“Dancing With the Stars” viewers were treated to a touching surprise during Tuesday’s live results show.
Before hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews announced which Season 23 pairs would be sent home, pros Emma Slater and Sasha Farber took to the dance floor for a steamy routine. Tom couldn’t help but comment on their chemistry, noting that he’s always been a fan of the duo who are dating outside the ballroom. He then handed the mic to Sasha, joking about how he remains hopeful that he will one day be passing on his hosting duties to him. The Australian dancer seized the opportunity to ask Emma an important question — “Will you marry me?” Shocked, she accepted and the rest of the “DWTS” cast appeared on stage to celebrate with the soon-to-be newlyweds. Others congratulated them on Twitter, sharing in the excitement.
After getting down on one knee, Sasha shared an excited message about his engagement on Instagram. He called the over-the-top proposal the “one moment in my life I will cherish forever.” Sasha also made sure to thank those who were congratulating him on Twitter.
The mood in the ballroom quickly shifted as Tom and Erin returned to the task at hand — eliminating not one, but two “DWTS” competitors. Following Monday’s performances, some of which left much to be desired, the judges were dealt a difficult hand. Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds has been hard at work on his dancing skills since the show began on Sept. 12, but was given the lowest score (just 18 out of 30) on Monday. Vanilla Ice consistently delivered weak performances and while he and partner Witney Carson were able to outperform Babyface and Allison Holker, it was not enough to save either pair. Both teams were sent packing on Tuesday, which left some viewers feeling shocked.
There are now only nine duos left in the running for the “DWTS” mirror ball trophy in Season 23. Tune in Monday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. EDT for another exciting week of routines on ABC.
