‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 22 Judge Carrie Ann Inaba Teases Week 8’s New Challenge, Reveals Her Team
The judges are taking over the ballroom!
For the first time ever on “Dancing With the Stars,” Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli will leave their posts behind the judges’ table and make their way onto the dance floor during the upcoming Season 22 installment of the hit ABC series.
Week 8 will shake up the competition with the Judges’ Team Up Challenge, which will require the three judges to chose two of the remaining six contestants in addition to choreographing a routine. Carrie Ann has already picked out which dancing duos she wants to have on her team!
During “Live! With Kelly and Michael,” the longtime judge revealed she chose Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess as well as Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas to be on Team Carrie. “They’re going to be great together,” she gushed before teasing what she had up her sleeve for their Week 8 group dance. “We’re going to do a really cool number.”
Carrie Ann explained that the routine will push the contestants to their physical limit, featuring extremely athletic moves. And considering her team is made up of exceptionally strong contestants, we think it’s safe to assume that her team will pull off the strenuous routine she has planned for them.
After all three teams hit the dance floor, it will be up to America to declare the winner. But Carrie Ann quipped that she wishes she could be involved in the scoring process since she has a super secret weapon.
“I don’t think we get to vote on our own [routines] — although, I do have a 30 paddle hidden!”
“Dancing With the Stars” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
