‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 22 Pro Val Chmerkovskiy Teases Who He Thinks Should Replace Michael Strahan On ‘Live!’
Val Chmerkovskiy has a seriously lengthy résumé. Not only is the “Dancing With the Stars” pro a two-time World Latin Dance Champion and a Season 20 Mirror Ball winner, but now the Ukrainian heartthrob wants to tackle a new obstacle: co-hosting with Kelly Ripa on “Live!”
The Season 22 pro dished to E! News the person he thought should take Michael Strahan’s seat on the syndicated morning show when Ripa’s partner makes his permanent switch to “Good Morning America.”
“I’m in,” Ginger Zee’s dancing partner said after being asked his thoughts on who Strahan’s replacement should be. Val then proposed a rather ingenious idea that involved the former football star making his way to the ballroom. “Michael will come on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and I could go and help out with Kelly. Problem solved!” he said.
Although Val was joking, we could totally picture the blunt beauty giving the show a bump in viewership — especially if he co-hosted the talk show in one of his sexy “DWTS” ensembles! During Val and Ginger’s Week 8 routine, the two sported their sexiest outfits yet. In fact, Ginger quipped that she was even going to sneak the sultry lace outfit home to wear for her husband, Ben Aaron.
“Oh, oops! Sorry, wardrobe! It ended up in my bag and then it just went home with me!” she quipped.
But according to the Season 22 couple, ABC viewers can anticipate another scandalous dance when the two perform a trio routine with dance pro Artem Chigvinstev.
“Were doing a paso doble trio,” Val revealed, adding that he and Ginger will also be tackling a quickstep for their solo routine, which he says “should be a lot of fun.”
“Dancing With the Stars” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
