Danielle Panabaker currently doubles as Dr. Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost on The CW’s “The Flash,” but in 2005, she played a completely different superhero in Walt Disney Pictures’ “Sky High.”

It’s been almost 14 years since she starred as Layla, a high school student with the power to control plant life, in the teen flick, but she’s ready to go back to school to reprise the role. According to the Hallmark actress, the rest of the cast is also on board for a “Sky High” reunion.

“A thousand percent,” Panabaker told International Business Times in October about wanting to do a sequel movie. “I would do anything to make another one.”

She continued: “I just saw Nick [Braun, who played Zach] and Michael [Angarano, who played Will] at a party in LA…and I love those boys so much. I would see Mary Elizabeth [Winstead, who played Gwen Grayson / Royal Pain] when we were both working in Vancouver. I think it would be great, and I think we would all jump at the opportunity.”

The original film, which was directed by Mike Mitchell and written by Paul Hernandez, Robert Schooley and Mark McCorkle, followed Will Stronghold, the son of two powerful heroes, as he balanced life as a regular teenager and a blossoming superhero.

There are so many ways for the story to continue, but Panabaker has one specific “Sky High 2” plot idea in mind.

“I’d like to think that maybe they’re teachers at Sky High because it’s been long enough that they could go back and teach,” she told IBT. “They could be the young, cool, hip teachers…and then they’re teaching the next class of superheroes.”

While a sequel to “Sky High” might not be arriving in the near future, fans can always watch Panabaker on “The Flash” on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
