Danity Kane Will Reunite At MTV VMAs, Release New Promo Picture Ahead Of Show
Update:
The wait is over!
Danity Kane is officially back, confirming the news with a new promotional picture posted to their website. The message on the site reads:
"The Return of Danity Kane: Watch the live announcement from the VMAs on MTV tonight at 8:15pm ET!"
They tweeted the news as well.
So there you have it, the show stoppers are here to stay! VMA night just got even more exciting.
-----------
There are just a few hours left before the Danity Kane reunion countdown clock runs out on the group’s website. And, luckily for us, we have definitive proof that the DK reunion will at least involve an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards show on Sunday.
A photograph has been released showing the group’s seats for VMA night. Whether the ladies of DK will actually perform is still up in the air, but their presence at the show will be enough to heal our previously damaged hearts.
Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O’Day and Dawn Richard have been conducting a social-media blitz of late, topping this week off with their most exciting reunion teaser yet -- a pixilated image of one of the group’s new promo pictures.
The first blurred image posted on the group’s Twitter feed was retweeted from O’Day’s page on Saturday morning. It was captioned, “D...A...”:
That post was followed by a retweet of the same image from Fimbres’ page. It was captioned, “N...I...”:
So it appears this string of teasers will likely involve the girls spelling out “Danity Kane,” hopefully ending with a nonpixelated version of the photo.
According to celebrity-gossip blogger Perez Hilton, sources said the girls will use their first official appearance in five years to share info about a new single they will be releasing soon.
Whether it be to announce a new musical release or just serve as fodder for an extremely hyped photo op, the fact the girls have confirmed spots at the VMAs seals the deal on some forthcoming DK greatness. Let’s see what the night holds!
