'Dark Knight Rises' Trailer: An Epic Disappointment [VIDEO]
The Dark Knight Rises official teaser trailer has been released. Fake trailers had been popping up everywhere on Youtube over the weekend. Fans were making their own versions of what to expect from the 2012 film, but none of the trailers surfacing over the weekend were the real deal.
The Dark Knight Rises has yet to finish filming, but Warner Brothers has issued a teaser trailer on the official The Dark Knight Rises Facebook Page. Over the weekend, an official sneak peek was shown before showings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Throughout this weekend Dark Knight Rises trailers had been going viral on the Internet. Warner Brothers had requested that all news outlets showing the illegal copy (filmed in theaters during Harry Potter showings) be removed. The clip revealed Bane and Batman, but did not show Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. The latest teaser trailer also lacks the presence of Catwoman.
Every Hero Has A Journey. Every Hero Has an End. The Epic Conclusion.
The trailer begins with text, Every Hero Has A Journey, then Liam Neeson's voice can be heard saying, If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, then you become something else entirely, a legend, Mr. Wayne. A legend.
After that Commissioner Gordon is seen on a hospital bed breathing through an oxygen mask.
The trailer ends with The Epic Conclusion. The Dark Knight Legend.
The trailer leaves viewers a bit confused. Not only does it appear to use old footage from the previous film, but it tells little of the upcoming film. This could be due to the pressure Warner Brothers was feeling after leaked versions of the trailer hit the Web.
Catwoman's suit
Catwoman was not featured in the teaser trailer, but considering the movie is currently filming, it's possible that Anne Hathaway did not have enough Catwoman footage to be shown in the trailer.
Also, news of Catwoman's suit is spreading. Hollywood Life said they have the latest work on what outfit Hathaway will be donning as Catwoman. Anne's outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies, a source told the Web site.
She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it's going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman costumes. She's going to look more like a robber... But fan boys shouldn't be worried. This costume is going to be form-fitting enough to make Anne look smoking hot.
This information has yet to be confirmed by Warner Brothers, or Hathaway.
