‘A Date By Christmas Eve’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Finding love during the holidays is hard, but magical powers threatening it might just make it more difficult in the newest Lifetime Christmas movie, “A Date By Christmas Eve,” starring Vanessa Lengies and Evan Williams.
This will actually not only be Lengies’ overall Christmas movie debut but will be her first for Lifetime as well, though fans may know her from her previous roles on shows like “American Dreams” and “Glee.” As for Williams, he’s a relative newbie as well, having had a role in 2010’s “On Strike For Christmas,” but staying away from Christmas movies since. Fans may still recognize him from his roles in “Versailles” and “Awkward” in more recent years.
So what will happen when these two team up for a big debut movie together? Let’s find out.
“When Chelsea Simms (Lengies), the good-hearted brand strategist for the popular dating app The Nice List, discovers the app has granted her magical powers, she uses her newfound ability to make all of the ‘naughty’ people in her life learn how to be good again,” a synopsis for the film reads.
Unfortunately for Chelsea, the plans to try and do some good and get everyone to be worthy of the Nice List doesn’t go as well as she hoped—and she will soon find herself racing to right a very unexpected wrong.
“But when her plans go awry and Fisher (Williams), the kindly neighbor who has always carried a torch for Chelsea, is magically added to the naughty list by mistake, Chelsea must race against time to set things right before Christmas Eve,” the synopsis concludes.
Will Chelsea be able to successfully fix things for Evan, and maybe find romance for herself along the way?
“A Date by Christmas Eve” airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
