'Dating The Delaneys' Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Hallmark Channel is continuing its lineup of fall movies with the newest premiere, "Dating the Delaneys." The film, starring Rachel Boston and Paul Campbell, debuts Saturday night.
The film will be a treat for Hallmark fans, as it reunites Boston and Campbell for their second project together, after previously starring in "The Last Bridesmaid." Of course, it will also be exciting for fans because both Boston and Campbell have been regulars for the network as well.
Boston has previously starred in titles such as "A Rose for Christmas," "Check Inn to Christmas" and "A Christmas Carousel," as well as the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries title "Christmas in Angel Falls." Campbell's titles, meanwhile, have included "Sun, Sand & Romance," "Wedding every Weekend," "Christmas by Starlight," "The Santa Stakeout," "The Nine Kittens of Christmas" and "Love, Classified." He also starred in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries titles "A Godwink Christmas" and "Holiday Hearts."
Karen Kruper ("The Wedding Veil") and Zoë Christie ("Honor Society") also star.
So what can fans expect in this film? Let's find out.
"Maggie Delaney (Boston) is a divorced mother who, after learning her ex-husband is getting remarried, ventures into the dating world with the encouragement of her mother Barb (Kruper) and teen daughter Emma (Christie)," a synopsis reads. "Helping her along the way is Michael (Campbell), the single father of her son's friend, who offers to help by going on a 'practice date.'"
Michael also helps Maggie on the professional side, as she prepares for a television interview spotlighting her bakery, Sweet Sensations, bringing the two together even more—and sparks are certainly flying.
"Maggie's dating adventures bring mixed results, and as she and Michael spend more time together, it's clear their friendship could turn into something more," the synopsis teases.
However, love is blooming for the rest of the Delaney women as well, meaning Maggie isn't the only one potentially facing romance.
"Meanwhile, Barb and Emma begin romances of their own," the synopsis continues. "As these three generations of women explore the highs and lows of modern dating, they learn that love and romance can be found at any age...and sometimes where you least expect it."
"Dating the Delaneys" airs Saturday, August 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
