The Official London 2012 Auction website identifies only the leading bidder by first name. Bidding runs through July 4. The summer games begin July 27.
The website has other London Olympics-related memorabilia up for auction, including other torches from the relay and autographed photos of Olympians.
London was awarded the 2012 Olympics in 2005, beating out Moscow, New York City, Madrid and Paris.
David Beckham is one of Britain's most famous athletes and is best known for his 10-year stint in the English Premier League with Manchester United.
David Beckham and his wife, Victoria Beckham, are worth about £165 million, or more than $259 million, as of 2011, according to therichest.org. Victoria Beckham rose to fame in the 1990s as Posh Spice as part of the pop group the Spice Girls and accounts for £13 million of the couple's net worth.
