David Bowie's Wife, Iman, Tweeted Cryptic Messages Before News Of Rock Star's Death Went Public
Iman Abdulmajid has not spoken out about the death of her husband, David Bowie. It appears, however, that she may have foreshadowed his death on Twitter in the hours leading up to it.
As was reported by People magazine, the international supermodel shared several inspiring, but suggestive, posts on Twitter Saturday and Sunday. Her most recent tweet talks about "struggle" and believing in God. Abdulmajid, 60, gave no context to the messages, but many have speculated that they were related to her husband's ailment. Prior to that, she tweeted another quote photo, this time about not taking moments for granted.
Although Abdulmajid has yet to address her husband's death, many other celebrities have taken the opportunity to send condolences or share anecdotal stories about Bowie, who died Sunday at 69. The Rolling Stones, Kanye West, Harry Styles and many more took to Twitter late Sunday night and early Monday morning to reflect on the "Space Oddity" singer's life and career.
Bowie died from complications from cancer. He is said to have been fighting the disease for 18 months. Bowie's death comes just two days after his birthday and the release of his final album, "Blackstar." He leaves behind Abdulmajid, his wife of nearly 24 years, and two children: Alexandria Zahra Jones and Duncan Jones.
