David Foster Divorce Finalized Month After Daughter Erin Calls Katharine McPhee ‘Stepmom’

David Foster’s divorce from Yolanda Handid has just been finalized.

According to the court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, the estranged couple’s divorce was settled on Monday. However, the two still have to come to an agreement when it comes to spousal support, property and attorney’s fees.

Foster and Hadid announced their decision to go their separate ways in 2015, four years after their marriage and nine years after they started dating. Foster was previously married to three other women, B.J. Cook from 1972 to 1981, Rebecca Dyer from 1982 to 1986 and Linda Thompson from 1991 to 2005.

Hadid, on the other hand, was previously married to Gigi, Bella and Anwar’s dad, Mohamed Hadid.

Last month, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star spoke with the same publication and said that splitting from Foster was “heartbreaking.” “Of course it was heartbreaking. It’s my marriage – it’s heartbreaking, but so is life. David and I had a great seven-year run. It became very difficult. The only reason I shared that story is because people need to understand that being a sick person is really hard, but being a caretaker of a chronically ill person is hard and people just get to their limit,” she said.

Hadid was diagnosed with Lyme disease a few years ago. In a video for InStyle, she admitted to wanting to die after her diagnosis. But she thought of her three children and realized that they still needed her.

Meanwhile, Foster and Hadid’s divorce came just one month after the music mogul’s daughter, Erin, called Katharine McPhee her “stepmom.” On her Instagram account, Erin shared a photo of the “Scorpion” actress talking to her dad. She captioned the snap by saying, “Excited about my new step mom.”

In another clip, Erin shared a video of Foster and McPhee by the piano. She captioned the video by calling them her parents. Foster and McPhee are rumored to have started dating in May. An insider told E! News at that time the two was spotted out on a dinner date at Nobu in Malibu.

As of late, Foster and McPhee have not yet commented on the real status of their relationship.
