America's Got Talent judge David Hasselhoff was reportedly taken to hospital on Sunday, according to entertainment blogging site TMZ.com.

Hasselhoff, 57 was taken to the hospital because he had been drinking to excess but was expected to be released Sunday night, according to TMZ on Monday.

Paramedics arrived on Sunday afternoon at Hasselhoff's home in Encino, California after a person called 911, EOnline reported.

According to the reports, Hasselhoff's 17-year old daughter Hayley was with him at home when she called her mother Pamela Bach to alert about him. Then it was Pamela's friend who called the paramedics.

Hasselhoff has openly admitted hi struggles with alcoholism. He was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning in October 2007.
