David Letterman drew flak on Twitter and TikTok after a 2013 interview with Lindsay Lohan resurfaced on the internet. In the video, the 73-year-old legendary host can be seen making the actress uncomfortable by asking personal questions repeatedly.

The video came back to haunt Letterman as people reflect on how the media treats women celebrities, following the release of the "Framing Britney Spears" documentary. It has led the audience to notice how Letterman treated one of Spears' contemporaries in the past, EW reported.

The 34-year-old actress was put in a difficult spot when she appeared on Letterman's show to promote one of her movies. The former "The Late Show" host asked the actress about her battle with cocaine and alcohol.

"Now, aren't you supposed to be in rehab?" Letterman asked before the actress revealed the date she was supposed to enter rehab. He didn't stop there and went on to ask a series of questions related to the rehab process, Independent reported.

"What are they rehab-ing? What is on their list? What are they going to work on when you walk through the door?" the host continued.

Musician Trey Taylor took to Twitter to share the clip, and noted that it is "horrifying to watch" how the actress is being treated.

Since the video was posted on Feb. 14, it has garnered over 10 million views and caught the attention of producer Frank Costa.

"This is vile on so many levels. The misogyny. The blindsiding. The stigma of addiction & rehab. The hypocrisy of wanting people to recover, but then judging how they choose do so. I hope Lindsay Lohan knows how loved she is," he commented on the video.

Costa noted people have treated not only Lohan but so many others "unfairly."

It can be seen in the clip that the actress was uncomfortable with the rehab questions, and she even pointed that this topic wasn't mentioned in the pre-interview, Deadline reported.

“Opportunity to focus on what I love in life,” she answered Letterman's series of questions.

Letterman didn't stop there and continued to ask if she was going to enter the rehab for alcohol and other addiction problems.

During the interview, the actress responded that making jokes about someone's addiction and rehab process was mean. At the clip's end, the host praised the actress, but it didn't go well with one of the users on Twitter, who noted that Letterman was manipulative.
