As Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, started their 10-day tour of Australia, they were greeted with much enthusiasm and fervor.
The Queen was clad in a lilac coat and matching hat, displaying her regal glamor and stately elegance. It has been reported that the Royals will be visiting Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth during their trip.
There have been speculations that this could probably be her last visit to the country.
Earlier, as the Queen arrived at the Royal Australian Air Force's Fairbairn Base in Canberra, she was greeted by a 21-gun salute. Apart from this, the military band from the country's Federation Guard military also played God Save the Queen.
It has been reported that the last time the Queen embarked on a long journey was in the year 2006 during the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
