'Days Of Our Lives' Spoilers: Andre Makes A Shocking Announcement

He has been trying to find a way to make it so he can end his marriage of convenience and still get control of his family's company, and now, Andre will make a plan to try and make his wishes come true on the Thursday, Sept. 7 episode of "Days of Our Lives."

In order to make sure DiMera Enterprises remained in the family's control while Chad (Billy Flynn) was missing in Greece, Andre (Thaao Penghlis) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) married on the NBC soap. Since Chad's return however, Andre has seen clearly that Kate has more power at his family's company than he ever did, and he knows he is seen as psychotic because of his past, which doesn't help his image. Since realizing that, he has been doing whatever he can to try and gain a new powerful position.

After learning that Kate had shared a kiss with Roman (Josh Charles), Andre has been more determined than ever to get his way, and even sought a new psychological evaluation in the hopes it would help his case. Now, he will call a press conference in the Salem square to make an announcement—and it is one that Kate won't be happy about.

Andre will expose that Kate cheated on him with Roman publicly, and will likely try to use the situation to humiliate her and make her seem less reliable to the company's board, in the hopes that she is dismissed or demoted below him as a result. However, his plan will run into more than a few kinks along the way.

Not only will Kate be defended for her actions, most notable by Roman, who has admitted to wanting to be with her, but Andre will also find himself targeted as well. When he went for his evaluation, he believed he had been seeing Marlena (Deidre Hall), unaware that it was actually her doppelganger, Hattie (also Hall), who has assumed Marlena's life and locked her up in a sanitarium in the meantime. Seeing as he had personal history with Hattie that saw her going to jail for his crimes, she wanted revenge on him, and also seemed hell-bent on digging up something against Kate so she could free Roman up as well, since Hattie wants to be with him.

While Hattie could prove useful to Andre during his press conference in exposing Kate, she may turn around and surprise him by also making an announcement which turns things against him as well. Though Kate would be exposed as an alleged adulterer, Hattie could decide to get her revenge on Andre by revealing that his psychological analysis proved him to be mentally unstable, and he needs to be locked away at once. If she does do that, Andre will find himself dealing with a fate similar to the one she faced for years because of him—locked away in a cell, with no one to help prove his innocence.
