‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chad Confides In Gabi About The Amulet

He was anxious to get the amulet Deimos was after, despite being warned of the curse it would unleash on his life. Now, after a string of bad luck, Chad will confide in Gabi about what he now thinks was a horrible decision on the Thursday, May 18 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

In an effort to get some increased cash flow into his family company so it would still be in existence when his son was older, Chad (Billy Flynn) decided to get into the illegal antiquities trading business on the side. The opportunity on the NBC soap to also one-up his main rival, Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) presented itself with the acquisition of an amulet, one which was rumored to be cursed. Despite constant warnings that he shouldn’t go after the item, Chad refused to listen, and is now in Greece and in possession of it. And ever since he received it, he has learned that the curse is in fact very much a real thing.

Not only did he learn that his flight back from Greece to Salem was delayed because of issues with his plane, but Chad received possibly the worst news he could have ever hoped for as well. He received a call telling him that Abigail (Marci Miller) was filing for divorce, and Chad now knows that this means his wife has officially decided she no longer wants to be with him, even though he has sworn he doesn’t care for Gabi (Camila Banus) the way he does her, and has attempted to win her over again.

Now, Gabi is in Greece as well, on a mission to get revenge on Deimos for what he did to her father, but she is staying by Chad’s side as he grieves the end of his marriage. She will now also learn about the curse of the amulet, as Chad confides in her that he believes it may be working its cursed magic on his life, and he now has no idea how to change his fortune.

As they discuss the situation in Greece however, in Salem, the curse is still working on Abigail. In addition to her filing for divorce, Dario (Jordi Villasousa) revealed that he was at risk of being deported out of the country, and the only way he can be allowed to stay is if he marries a U.S. citizen. He has been in love with Abigail for some time, and proposed to her that they marry so he can stay, promising her it would only be a marriage of convenience between friends. Abigail initially rebuffed his proposal, but now, with the curse looming over her and Chad, she may start to consider accepting Dario’s request. And if she says yes, it could be the final thing that destroys Chad more than anything else.
