‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: An Eyewitness Changes The Investigation Into Deimos’ Murder
JJ was about to go to prison for Deimos’ murder because of the amount of evidence which seemed to suggest he was responsible for the crime. But now, two key moments could exonerate him and implicate someone else instead on the Monday, July 10 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”
As the investigation circled around JJ (Casey Moss) on the NBC soap, others who were in attendance at the Marton House party the night Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) was murdered started having flashbacks to what may or may not have happened. One such person was Sonny (Freddie Smith), who remembered his struggle with Deimos over the cursed Ramses Amulet, and later remembered standing over the dead body. He didn’t recall actually stabbing his uncle, but believed the other memories were proof enough of his guilt.

Defying Victor’s (John Aniston) orders not to turn himself in since there was no guarantee he had committed the crime, Sonny has since gone to the police station and confessed to the murder, revealing to the police that he is sure JJ is innocent. While his confession could help JJ, it won’t get him off the hook entirely, until someone else comes forward and backs up Sonny’s story.
A waiter who was in attendance at the party as well will arrive at the station, and will reveal that he saw something that night. There will be shock when the waiter implicates Sonny of murder, backing up his confession and pinning the crime on him. However, whether or not the waiter actually saw him stab Deimos, or just saw him standing over his body, will still be fuzzy information, and while his announcement makes for a stronger case against Sonny, it won’t necessarily make him the actual murderer.
Still, Sonny will see himself placed in handcuffs and placed in a cell for holding, possibly with murder charges brought against him. This won’t be the end of the investigation however, as more evidence will be needed to possibly guarantee that the right person has been charged this time. Because Sonny is so loved by many, and those who care for him want to prove he is innocent, a new investigation will likely be done in addition to the one being conducted by the police, in an effort to determine who the real killer actually is.

Anyone who was at the party on the night in question could have been the responsible one, as everyone except for Paul (Christopher Sean) was under the influence of Halo 2.0 at the time, thanks to Deimos drugging their drinks. Paul was also not present at the mansion despite being clean, because Deimos took care to make sure he had been knocked unconscious so he wouldn’t warn the others that he was there. In addition to all the potential murderers being under the influence of drugs, which could have led to any one of them acting out and not remembering, they all had genuine motives for wanting Deimos dead.
As a result, despite the evidence against JJ and Sonny, the case could still be an incredibly active one, because truly anyone could have taken down the most hated man in Salem.
“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
