His family has gone through quite a bit since his death on “Days of Our Lives,” but on the Friday, Dec. 28 episode, Jack will make a shocking reappearance in Salem that will change everything.

Following his death in 2012, a lot happened to his children, Abigail (Kate Mansi), JJ (Casey Moss) and his wife, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), but lately, things have been perhaps their most chaotic yet. However, while his kids deal with their dramas, their mother has lamented whether or not she would ever find love again, believing Jack (Matthew Ashford) was the one and only she was meant to be with. Despite feeling she wasn’t meant to find true love again, she accepted an invitation to be Dr. Henry Shah’s (Andre Khabbazi) date for the Horton Center Benefit Gala on New Year’s Eve.

However, the party will come to an end with a shocking appearance—by Jack himself.

Unfortunately for Jen though, his return may not be everything she had hoped for, because Jack won’t be alone as he arrives back in Salem. In fact, the person he will come back with is going to be none other than Jennifer’s enemy, Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva), who left town when her engagement to Brady (Eric Martsolf) fell apart and swore revenge on Jennifer before she’d return.

Before Jack’s story is fully revealed, however, the fact that he is alive will be a true New Year’s shocker for everyone who loved him.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
