Someone killed Deimos at the Marton House party on “Days of Our Lives,” and when evidence seems to suggest one of the guests was the culprit, they will face charges for their alleged crime on the Monday, July 3 episode.

Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) had drugged the guests at the party on the NBC soap with Halo 2.0, his drug he has been distributing throughout Salem. His goal had been to get the cursed Ramses Amulet from Sonny (Freddie Smith) before the night ended, so he could sell it and use the money to make sure his drug business would still operate even after he left town. However, the night ended with him dead, a knife sticking out of his chest— and no one can remember whether or not they were the one who killed him thanks to the drugs they all ingested.

Everyone had clear motives for wanting Deimos dead because of all the horrific deeds he had done since arriving in Salem last year. However, only one person will find themselves facing charges now, after the evidence seems to stack up and implicate them as the one who committed murder.

As the case was investigated, Lani (Sal Stowers) had a flash of memory from when she, JJ (Casey Moss) and Eli (Lamon Archey) went to confront Deimos after Gabi (Camila Banus) saw him in the women’s bathroom at the party. She remembered JJ having a physical altercation with him, but didn’t recall seeing him grab a knife or kill Deimos. However, her implication, coupled with the blood that was found on JJ’s shirt, was enough to raise questions about his role in the murder.

Shortly after, a test on the blood revealed that it did belong to Deimos, and JJ was brought in on suspicion of committing the murder. However, as more test results come back from the autopsy, even more evidence will surface, and JJ will officially find himself being booked and charged with murder.

From their struggle, JJ’s own DNA was underneath Deimos’ fingernails, and with everything else, he seems to be the most likely suspect at the moment. But while there is plenty of evidence against him, he could still be innocent, as almost everyone at the party had a reason to want Deimos dead, and could have killed him while in a drug-influenced state.

Lani herself wanted revenge because she had been forced to OD on Halo when she was working undercover to try and expose the ring, while Gabi wanted Deimos to pay for setting her father up and getting him sent to prison. Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller) wanted him to answer for when he poisoned both her and Gabi, and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) wanted him dead because he had masterminded Bo’s kidnapping so many years earlier, and being in captivity for so long left him unable to treat the brain tumor he had developed, leading to his death. Nicole (Arianne Zucker) also had motive because Deimos had gotten her kidnapped while she was on the run with Holly.

However, the person with perhaps the most motive was Sonny, who was desperate to take over the family business, and who needed his uncle out of the way completely in order for him to successfully do so. With him and so many others potentially capable of committing the crime, JJ could be innocent—but he may pay the ultimate price anyway.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
