‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: JJ Races To Rescue Lani From A Dangerous Situation

She tried to take down a major pimp and drug dealer with no backup, but now that Lani’s life is on the line on “Days of Our Lives,” JJ will be forced to jump into action to save her before it’s too late on the Wednesday, May 3 episode.

Lani (Sal Stowers) and JJ (Casey Moss) were previously assigned the high-profile and very risky case on the NBC soap, and Lani had insisted that going undercover and pretending she wanted to be one the girls who works for Snake was the best move to make. The first attempt appeared to go well, until she drank champagne with the pimp, and woke up later in the park, bloody and with torn clothing, having blacked out from the night before. An exam at the hospital revealed she hadn’t been raped, but her system tested positive for a new powerful drug called Halo, which could cause later erratic behavior. Despite JJ and Abe (James Reynolds) both begging her to drop the case after the incident, Lani refused, and secretly decided to meet with Snake once again.

She went back to the motel room Snake met her in the first time, with only Raines (Aaron Spears) as backup on the outside. She maintained she wanted to still become one of his girls, but that she wanted to know why she blacked out. Despite orders from Raines to stop the rouse, Lani continued to persist, and got Snake to show her his stash of Halo, asking her to take some. She tried to get out of taking the drug, but that made Snake suspicious, and after she insisted on meeting some of the other girls, he slapped her and found the wire she was wearing. Now, he has a gun aimed at her and has ordered her to OD on Halo.

JJ meanwhile, had put a tracking app on Lani’s phone without her knowledge, and was also listening in the entire time for her exchange with Snake. Now, even as Raines calls for backup to the Inn, he will spring into action in the way he usually does when it concerns the women in his life. He has already lost a woman he loved to a violent criminal, having discovered Paige’s body in her dorm room shower after Ben targeted her as the Necktie Killer almost two years ago, and he won’t let that same thing happen again. However, his decision to go and rescue Lani could have major consequences for him as well, as he will be putting his own life on the line too, in an effort to save Lani’s.

However, even if he is successful, and both he and Lani escape without any harm done to them, it could alter things for the couple completely since Lani not only went behind his back on the dangerous assignment, but because she lied to him about keeping in contact with Snake. And if JJ can’t forgive her for doing that, then he may find himself once again single and roaming the streets of Salem without a woman by his side.
