'Days Of Our Lives' Spoilers: Lani Tries Keeping The Truth From Eli

She has no intention of letting her Christmas Eve mistake destroy her relationship with JJ. However, when Eli confronts her about being pregnant, Lani will do whatever it takes to try and cover the truth from the man she slept with on the Friday, Jan. 26 episode of "Days of Our Lives."

Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) slept together on Christmas Eve after mistakenly believing that JJ (Casey Moss) and Gabi (Camila Banus) had cheated on them. After learning on the NBC soap that Gabi was only with JJ that night because she was supporting him and keeping watch after realizing he intended to commit suicide, the two quickly agreed they would never speak of what happened between them again and move on with their lives. However, shortly after that night, Lani learned she was pregnant.

She quickly realized that the baby was Eli's since she and JJ had been broken up since he shot Theo (Kyler Pettis), and though Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) advised her not to lie to JJ or anyone else about the pregnancy, she decided that it was the only way to do things, because she was afraid JJ wouldn't be able to handle it if he knew she not only cheated, but also got pregnant when she did. Since then, JJ has also learned of the pregnancy and become ecstatic that he's going to be a father, which has made Lani even more certain that she can't tell him the truth.

However, Eli now knows of her pregnancy after his mother, Val (Vanessa Williams) saw Lani's files at the hospital. Though she couldn't find out how far along she was since she wasn't Lani's doctor, she warned her son that his one-night stand may not be something he could so easily leave in the past after all. Now, Eli wants answers, because he needs to know if the baby is really his.

Though she will know it is wrong, Lani will still do whatever she can to try and cover the truth up, because she knows that if Eli also knows the truth about the baby, they will both feel they can no longer hide the truth from the people they love and care about. Whether or not she successfully convinces him that the baby is in fact JJ's, she will now know that she needs to work harder than ever before to make sure she doesn't slip up and reveal the truth anytime soon.
