‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Paul Makes A Surprising Decision About Will
He has been holding out hope that the man his fiancé once loved and married isn’t truly still alive, and after appearing to see Will in the flesh and standing in front of him, Paul will make a shocking decision about how Sonny should hear the news on the Monday, Nov. 6 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”
Sonny (Freddie Smith), Paul (Christopher Sean), John (Drake Hogestyn), Marlena (Deidre Hall), Sami (Alison Sweeney), Adrienne (Judi Evans), Justin (Wally Kurth) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) have all traveled to Memphis to follow the money trail that could give them answers about whether or not the claims Will was really still alive were true or not. The city had seemed like a dead end so far on the NBC soap, with the only answers being the ones that Sami, Marlena and John received from Susan Banks (Eileen Davidson), who admitted she hired Rolf (William Utay) to revive Will so she herself could kill him. However, she then claimed that the procedure didn’t work, and Will was still dead.
Lucas had seemed to have a moment though where he had found Will, when he went to the hotel bar and saw the bartender, who was a dead ringer for his deceased son. However, since he’s been off the wagon, his sighting was written off as a drunken hallucination. That is, until now, when Paul, who is very much a sober man, also saw the bartender, and realized he was actually Will.
Paul has been conflicted over this entire situation because while he knows Will being alive would be news that brings his loved ones a lot of joy, it will also be news that will devastate him. He and Sonny were almost married when the revelation came that Sonny’s first husband could still be alive, and it’s no secret to anyone, especially Paul, that if Sonny could have a second chance with Will that he would take it.
Now, with much clearer knowledge that Will is alive, Paul will have a decision to make. And while he tries to be an honorable man, he will become blinded by his desperate desire to keep Sonny for himself. When he goes back to his fiancé, he will keep the news that he saw Will to himself, and won’t clue Sonny in to the fact that he is actually right downstairs.
Of course, his guilt could also later get to him, when Sonny then decides he’s sick of hearing about so many dead ends—and tells Paul that he now wants to finish what they started and get married.
“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
