‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: When Will Nicole Leave? Arianne Zucker Announces Exit
Nicole Walker is leaving Salem. Actress Arianne Zucker revealed that she is leaving “Days of Our Lives” after spending nearly 20 years on the NBC soap opera.
“Two years ago, I was contemplating making the shift,” Zucker told Soap Opera Digest when she made her announcement. “I know there are a thousand girls who would take my job in a second, for me, it is my time to go.”
The actress will leave when her contract ends in April, but viewers will see her stick around for a while after that. “Days of Our Lives” films several weeks before the episodes actually air. Nicole will likely grace TV screens until summer.
Zucker joined the soap opera in 1998 when she was 24 years old. Though she left for two years in 2006, she has consistently been on “Days” since 2008. Her storylines have been a wild ride. She was forced into the porn industry as a teen, suffered miscarriages, stole a baby and was kidnapped.
The California native has also had quite an eventful 2016 offscreen. She was dragged into the spotlight when tapes of President Donald Trump talking about her were leaked. He spoke about how attractive Zucker was and it led to his infamous “grab them by the pussy” quote.
“I think men can learn from this how not to be in front of women or when they’re speaking about women,” Zucker said of the incident on “Today.” “I’m ready to use it in a proper way. I’m ready to use it for positivity. I’m ready to use it for women to step forward and to do good things in my life and for other people.”
Zucker already has a movie lined up post-“Days of Our Lives.” She will be in a family drama called “Shattered” in October.
