They were trying to find a way to get the lawsuit against Sonny thrown out so he could once again resume his position in his family’s company and put the embarrassment of his situation behind him for good. But an unexpected twist will force Will and Sonny to team up in a way they never expected to on the Tuesday, July 3 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Will (Chandler Massey) had finally received information which proved Leo (Greg Rikaart) was a con artist and was hopeful it would help Sonny (Freddie Smith) as he tried to fight the sexual harassment suit that was filed against him on the NBC soap. However, his appearance at the Kiriakis mansion with the info wound up going horribly wrong, as he overheard Sonny agree to Leo’s marriage proposal blackmail and then confronted the other man with the truth about his real identity and his past as a male prostitute.

After that info led Sonny to refuse the new offer, Leo attacked Will and tried strangling him. Sonny then stepped in and flung him away—sending him into the fireplace mantle, where he hit his head before falling. Now, Will and Sonny have realized that Leo is not only out cold—but dead.

Knowing that killing Leo would look worse than anything else when it comes to the lawsuit against Sonny, the two will quickly decide to work together to make sure no one finds out what happened. They will quickly roll his body up into a rug and prepare to get it out of the house before anyone sees and dispose of him where he won’t be found.

However, the situation is still one that will be perilous. They could find themselves at risk of being caught quickly, as someone could walk into the room at any moment since the Kiriakis mansion is a busy place. However, even if they don’t get caught, this will change some things for them.

The two former spouses will now have a huge secret that will keep them bonded, something that will likely be a problem later on. Will has slowly been getting some of his memories back thanks to the miracle serum, which means he is beginning to remember the life he once shared with Sonny. And while he is still committed to Paul (Christopher Sean) for now, and the two have even exchanged “I Love You’s,” the connection between Will and Sonny could start to become too strong to ignore once again.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
