They are both massive schemers who are wreaking havoc on members of the Kiriakis family. Now, as they meet for the first time while lounging around the family estate, Leo and Xander could wind up having a surprising connection on the Wednesday, Jan. 9 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Leo (Greg Rikaart) has been living at the mansion ever since he forced Sonny (Freddie Smith) to marry him on the NBC soap, and he’s been enjoying life as his husband, drinking quality liquor and spending money that isn’t his. Xander (Paul Telfer) also recently returned after working with Eve (Kassie Depaiva) to bring Jack (Matthew Ashford) back and taunt Jennifer (Melissa Reeves). He presented Victor (John Aniston) with evidence that could destroy DiMera Enterprises forever and demanded to be made CEO of Titan. He is also now living in the estate, much to Victor and Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) dismay.

Now, with two con artist crooks under the same roof, it’s only a matter of time before it could lead to major trouble. Sure enough, it won’t take long for the pair to meet, and what happens next could be lethal for those in Salem.

“Leo meets Xander for the first time,” spoilers for the NBC soap tease.

Though teaming up to cause trouble in Salem might not happen immediately, it won’t take long for the two to hit it off with one another and realize they have similar goals in mind when it comes to causing trouble. Of course, if Xander suggests a partnership, Leo could be tempted for other reasons as well, with spoilers also indicating that he meets Xander and immediately becomes smitten with him.

Though Xander likely won’t return his affections, any motivation to continue wreaking havoc on the lives of those around them could be enough for these two as they try to take Salem by storm.
