Dead Space iOS Wins the Best Game Award; Updated Version Goes on Sale
EA Games’ survival horror game on iOS, Dead Space, has been crowned the winner of the Best Mobile Game category at the 2011 Meffy awards.
The game developing company, in recognition, has slashed the prices on the iPhone and iPad version of the game by 50 percent. The company has also decided to drop the price of a variety of in-game items.
The Meffys are widely recognized as the most reputable and popular global awards in the mobile media industry. Dead Space was judged by a panel of independent journalists, analysts, academics and VCs.
The price slashes include two power nodes which are now available for $.99, 20 power nodes available for $4.99 and 50,000 credits for $1.99. The Credit booster has now been priced at $.99 according to a report in EA’s official website.
The new updated version now comes with a 3G-compatible Survival Mode where the player takes on an all-out Necromorph onslaught to earn extra credits for the core game experience.
