'Defiance' Season 3 'Broken Bough' Spoilers: Amanda Makes A Deal With The Omec [VIDEO]

Syfy's “Defiance” returns Friday with an episode involving Amanda's deal with the Omec. Season 3, episode 3, titled "Broken Bough" is about Gen. Rahm Tak's army that is poised to attack soon.

It will feature Julie Benz (Amanda Rosewater), Graham Greene (Rafe McCawley), Tony Curran (Datak Tarr), Jesse Rath (Alak Tarr), James Murray (Niles Pottinger), Grant Bowler (Joshua Nolan), Jaime Murray (Stahma Tarr), Anna Hopkins (Jessica "Berlin" Rainier), Stephanie Leonidas (Irisa Nyira) and Mia Kirshner (Kenya Rosewater).

"Broken Bough" follows events after the Season 3 premiere episodes "The World We Seize" and "The Last Unicorns," wherein Nolan and Irisa were released from the capsule they went into during the show's Season 2 finale, "I Almost Prayed."

They were troubled to see Defiance being threatened. Plus, Nolan and Irisa came across a mysterious alien race that needed their aid. "The World We Seize" and "The Last Unicorns" aired back-to-back June 12.

TV Guide reports that the Tarrs will return in this episode. They will see the changes in Defiance. Aside from the changes, their loyalties will also be tested between the Votanis Collective, the Omec and the humans.

As for Nolan and Irisa, they will also come across one of the victims of the Votanis Collective. This victim can help them with their initial strike at Tak's army.

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) provided a list of guest stars that will appear in "Broken Bough." They include Amy Forsyth (Andina) and Jessica Nichols (Jabey).

A preview video of this episode was posted on Promo Jumble's YouTube channel. The video shows the Omec declaring their superiority over the other alien races, including their strength as well as their fearlessness. One of the Omec even claims that they feed on other races that they consider lesser than their own.

The "Defiance" Season 3, episode 3 "Broken Bough," airs at 8 p.m. EDT Friday on SyFy. The next episodes after "Broken Bough," are "Dead Air," which airs June 26, and "History Rhymes," which airs July 3.
