Deion Sanders Charged With Assault Of Wife, Pilar Sanders

Deion Sanders has been charged with misdemeanor simple assault on his wife Pilar Sanders after a Monday night incident.

The simple assault doesn't warn an arrest, though, according to Colin County officials.

The latest charge comes a day after Pilar Sanders was arrested for assaulting her husband in front of the couple's children. The couple is estranged, yet still living in the same Dallas-area house, which created some fireworks on Monday.

She was arrested for assault family violence, according to the Colin County Jail website.

Deion Sanders' arrest adds an extra twist into the situation after he was live-tweeting the incident on Monday.

Sanders tweeted, Pray for me and my kids now! They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She's going to jail n I'm pressing charges.

He followed up by saying, I'm sad my boys witnessed this mess but I warned the police department here that she was gone try n harm me and my boys. This is on my mama!

He also included a picture of Sanders and his children filing police reports about the assault allegations.

This is just the latest incident in the battle between the couple. Sanders filed a $200 million lawsuit against her estranged husband in March for libelous and slanderous statements posted about her. It in part refers to Sanders' daughter calling her the number one gold digger of the year.
