Former NBA player Delonte West appears to be doing much better than the last time he found himself in the public eye. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban shared photos of West at a rehab center on social media Tuesday.

Cuban picked West up at a gas station in late September. Soon afterward, the 37-year-old began to receive treatment at a drug rehabilitation facility in Florida, where West looks to be on the road to recovery.

“Because we all want something to feel great about today, here is your Delonte West update,” Cuban said, sharing pictures of West playing frisbee golf and kayaking. “It's still an uphill battle, but he is climbing!”

Cuban said he posted the photos because West wants people to know he is making progress in his recovery.

West was a first-round pick in the 2004 NBA Draft. He spent eight seasons in the NBA. West ended his career with Cuban’s Mavericks in the 2011-2012 season.

In January, videos of West engaging in a street fight went viral. According to Prince George's County Police Dept. in Maryland, West started the fight by hitting a man with a glass bottle.

In September, photos of West supposedly homeless and begging for money in Dallas began to circulate.

In 2016, TMZ reported that West was receiving treatment for bipolar disorder after he was seen walking around Houston and hallucinating.
