Demi Lovato, Boyfriend Guilherme ‘Bomba’ Vasconcelos Celebrate Singer’s Sobriety Milestone
Demi Lovato enjoyed a night out with boyfriend Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos after revealing to her fans that she’s been sober for five years now. The couple appeared to have celebrated the milestone with a couple of friends, and the MMA fighter proudly documented his sweet moments with Lovato on Instagram.
On Thursday, Vasconcelos updated his Instagram account with a couple of snaps from his outing with the “Stone Cold” singer and several of their friends. One snap he shared was of him wrapping his arms around a smiling Lovato as they stare lovingly at each other. Vasconcelos professed his love to the actress-singer in the caption of the post.
In another photo, Vasconcelos and Lovato can be seen standing close to each other while their friends gather in front of them for the photo-op. The MMA champ did not caption the pic and used the party popper emoji instead. The last post he shared that night was a short clip of him getting a kiss from the “Confident” singer.

Many of the singer’s fans couldn’t help but be happy for the two and left them positive messages on the posts. A fan told Vasoncelos: “You won her. Keep her safe.” Another commented: “Please take care of Demi’s heart. I pray you two will last forever.” Another fan also wrote: “You two just look good together, I’m crying.”
On Thursday, Lovato updated her fans on Instagram that she’s been sober for five years already. “So grateful. It’s been quite a journey. So many ups and downs. So many times I wanted to relapse but sat on my hands and begged God to relieve the obsession,” she wrote.
Lovato has been very open about her past struggle with addiction. When she was 18, she entered rehab to receive treatment for substance abuse and depression. She also suffered from bulimia and has already received treatment for the disorder as well.
“Getting sober was difficult,” Lovato told Glamour in November 2016. “I went into rehab, I came out, and I didn’t stay sober. I still had issues occasionally. Now some days it’s difficult; some days it's easy. But I like to focus on what I’m doing now, which is giving back. I’ve done interventions with people I’ve been close to.”
