Demi Lovato Refuses To Address Bisexuality Rumors: ‘I Love Who I Love’
Demi Lovato recently sparked bisexuality rumors after photos of her seemingly looking very close to another woman went viral.
But over the weekend, the 25-year-old singer refused to confirm whether or not she is really bisexual. In an interview with Pride Source, Lovato simply said, “I love who I love. Thank you for the opportunity, but I think I’m gonna pass.”
When asked about why she doesn’t want to talk about her sexuality, the former child star said, “I just feel like everyone’s always looking for a headline and they always want their magazine or TV show or whatever to be the one to break what my sexuality is. I feel like it’s irrelevant to what my music is all about. I stand up for the things that I believe in and the things that I’m passionate about, but I like to keep my personal life as private as possible when it comes to dating and sexuality and all that stuff just because it has nothing to do with my music.”
But even though Lovato did not confirm or deny the speculations, the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer urged fans to just watch her upcoming documentary on YouTube. “Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated” will be released on Oct. 12.
The “Barney” star confirmed that some parts of the special will be about her sexuality. “Yeah, some about that. Because if ever I want to talk about it, I want it to be on my own terms,” she said.
While fans still have to wait for a few days to learn the truth about Lovato’s sexuality, the singer shared some information about her single, “Cool for the Summer.” Lovato previously said that it was about bi-curiousity, according to People. “I think we live in a world today where no matter what you do, you’re doing something wrong, whether it’s cultural appropriation or it’s being insensitive to certain groups of people,” she said.
Meanwhile, Lovato also shared a series of photos from her recent photo shoot via her Instagram account. In the snaps, Lovato is wearing a blue and white bra, same-colored jacket and jeans.
