Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez: BFFs and Fashion Icons [PHOTOS]

Demi Lovato and her best friend, Selena Gomez, have been sizzling on the red carpet this summer.

Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards was no different. Lovato, 19, arrived at the show in a gorgeous metallic silver jewel encrusted number by Mandalay while her BFF Gomez, also 19, rocked her dark side with a Julien Macdonald gothic themed dress.

Gomez, who had hosting duties on the VMA pre-show, interviewed her best friend about her upcoming album, Unbroken, outside the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

It's more R&B, it's more pop and I think you guys are going to like it . . . I got a lot of collaborations with Timbaland, Missy Elliot . . . Jason Derulo, said Lovato.

You love Missy Elliot! Gomez replied with a shriek, according to MTV.

Gomez later interviewed her boyfriend, pop sensation Justin Bieber, who sneaked in a kiss before the cameras turned away.

On Aug. 7, Lovato and Gomez also attended the Teen Choice Awards, arriving summery yellow and gold cocktail dresses, respectively.
