Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher Break Silence Via Twitter for Thanksgiving

After approximately a week of silence on Twitter Demi Moore and her soon-to-be ex-husband Ashton Kutcher broke their silence and tweeted their thanks ... separately.

Earlier this month, Moore announced that she is divorcing Kutcher after six years of marriage. Her announcement came after months of rumors that Kutcher was being unfaithful.

Following the announcement, they both went silent on Nov. 17 when they posted their final tweets.

But for the Thanksgiving holiday both Moore and Kutcher tweeted their thoughts about the holiday.

Kutcher tweeted first to his 8.5 million fans at 12:13 a.m. on Nov. 24.

I'm thankful for family, friends, you, & time to reach my potential. What are you thankful for? Kutcher wrote.

Moore then tweeted to her 4.3 million fans at 5:27 a.m. on Friday stating: Why do we have only 1 day for giving thanks? Is that why so many people feel unappreciated? Make this 1 of 365 days of Thanksgiving!

Kutcher, 33, and Moore, 49, are usually active Twitter users.

Prior to the Thanksgiving tweets, Kutcher's last tweet was about his marriage.

I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail, Kutcher's Nov. 17 tweet read.

The tweet could have been a response to Moore's announcement of the divorce to The Associated Press.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton, Moore's statement to The AP read. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.

Prior to her Thanksgiving tweet, Moore also tweeted a picture on Nov. 17.

The two split about one month after a woman named Sara Leal accused Kutcher of sleeping with her on the anniversary date he shares with his wife.

Neither Moore nor Kutcher has said what caused their marriage to end.
