Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher Divorce: Bisexual Needs? Paterno Tweet? Reasons behind the Split

Demi Moore filed for divorce from Ashton Kutcher and, though many thought Ashton's affair with Sara Leal was the main reason behind the split, rumors are swirling about other motives.

Star magazine cites information from a source who said that Demi's bisexual needs might have put a wedge between the couple.

Supposedly Moore and Kutcher practiced an open marriage. The source told Star, Everyone in Hollywood knows about their arrangement, but they've managed to keep it a secret from the general public.

She was cool with Ashton having flirtatious relationships too. Somehow they made it work all these years. Both of them were respectful of each other. It was a lot of fun for them.

The source went on to say that Demi is attracted to women just as much as men, so she didn't always get all she needed from Ashton.

The Daily Mail referenced a recent Chelsea Handler interview with Pierce Morgan.

'I think it's pretty obvious that they've probably had a lot of open marriage type situations, the comedienne told the CNN host.

I think they probably had a lot of good times with some other women... Clearly they had a lot of threesomes, that led to twosomes without Demi and that leads to a divorce. I absolutely feel for her.

The New York Post's Page Six reported that it was not the cheating that did the marriage in, it was Kutcher's infamous Paterno tweet.

A source on Two and a Half Men told Bonnie Fuller's Hollywood Life Web site.

It was another thing to get Demi upset.

She believed he really didn't care about the details of things, and the embarrassment of that reminded her of the embarrassment he caused her with the cheating, the source said.

Kutcher and Moore started the Demi and Ashton Foundation, DNA, against child sex slavery. Kutcher's tweet in support of Paterno -- who was privy to information about Jerry Sandusky sodomizing a 10-year-old boy -- was in direct opposition to this cause. Though Kutcher pleaded ignorance, the damage was done once the tweet was sent out.

However, the statement issued by Moore seems to focus most on Kutcher's infidelities as the reason behind her decision to leave the actor.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life, Moore said.

Kutcher tweeted about the separation.

He wrote: I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi.
