Demi Moore is blaming herself for the miscarriage she had in 2003, back when she was still dating her ex-husband, Ashton Kutcher. The Hollywood actress revealed that she drank too much alcohol at the time of her pregnancy.

According to The New York Times, the 56-year-old revealed this horrifying fact in a memoir she penned for Harper’s Bazaar magazine. The actress was six months pregnant when she suffered a miscarriage, which led her to start drinking again while going through the pain of losing a child.

The memoir called “Inside Out” will be published in the magazine on Sept. 24 and will give everyone a peek inside the personal life of the “Striptease” star.

Moore also confessed that she and Kutcher tried various fertility programs to conceive a baby again. But it did not go well since her addiction to alcohol got worse and she also started taking a heavy dosage of Vicodin, which is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.

One more explosive revelation that she made in the memoir was about the sexual assault she faced at the age of 15.

Meanwhile, Moore’s daughters were also present beside the veteran actress for the interview with The Times. They got really emotional when their mother was talking about all the pains that she endured in her life.

Scout Willis said that she was really proud of her mother for doing all the work that she could not do earlier just because she was living in a survival mode.

“We grow up thinking that our parents are these immovable gods of Olympus. Obviously, as we grow older, we start to realize how much our parents are just people,” Rumer Willis added.

Nevertheless, Moore shared that her past experiences made her a better person and she would not want to miss any beautiful moment of her life.

“Everything that occurs in our individual lives informs us. Shifting, molding, presenting the opportunities for the exact purpose to get us where we are in the present time. Whatever that may be. Now that I am sober I don’t want to miss a moment of life, of that texture (childbirth), even if that means being in some pain,” Moore said.
