'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba' Season 2 Release Date, Netflix Streaming Schedule And Other Updates

Following its successful first season run and a record-breaking stint at the global box office, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is returning for another roll as an anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge's manga creation.
The second season of the Japanese animated series "Demon Slayer" is titled "Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yūkaku Hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc)." So far, the only official announcement about the anime is its release window, which is scheduled sometime this year. Interestingly, several reports claimed that Season 2 is expected to debut in October and will be a part of the Fall anime slate in Japan.
The first season of the hit demon-slaying anime series also launched on the popular streaming platform Netflix. And while fans expect to see the end season on the streaming site, there is no official schedule as for when its first episode (Season 2) would premier. Rumors have it that it might become available on Netflix as soon as the anime releases on Crunchyroll, Funimation and Aniplex of America.
Haruo Sotozaki returns in "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 2 as the anime's director with Akira Matsushima handling the character design. The cast from the first season of the anime also returns in the upcoming series installment, including Katsuyuki Konishi as Tengen Uzui.
The plot of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 2 is a direct continuation of the blockbuster movie "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train," which is itself a continuation of the anime's season one finale. The first season concluded with Tanjiro Inosuke and Zenitsu, and of course, Nezuko, assigned to their first major assignment as official Demon Slayer Corps members. Rengoku, an elite Demon Slayer swordsman was tasked to accompany the trio.
The events in "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train" revolve around Tanjiro and the company's attempt to defeat the Lower One of the Twelve Moons. This is the demon group led by Muzan Kibutsuji, the original demon who slaughtered Tanjiro's family. After the events of "Mugen Train," Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps must deal with the fallout of the movie, as well as the rise of new and lethal enemies.
The story of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 2 will adapt the Entertainment District arc of the manga. As shown in the trailer embedded below, Tanjiro and the company is heading to Yoshiwara. It is a town known for its dark desire, bright lights and fertile ground for demons.
