Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning Breaks NFL Touchdown Passing Record; Throws 509th TD

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning threw his 509th touchdown pass Sunday to set an NFL record. The TD gave Denver a 21-10 halftime lead over San Francisco and broke Brett Favre's career record.
Manning threw three touchdown passes in the first half. He became the 10th quarterback since 1930 to hold the touchdown record, the New York Times reported.
The record pass was an 8-yarder to Demaryius Thomas in the corner of the end zone with 3:09 remaining in the half, CBS Sports reported. NFL.com reported the ball wobbled as it headed for its mark.

Favre tweeted his congratulations:
Well deserved Peyton. Congratulations on breaking my record. #Onto600 http://t.co/MEeffAlmeP
