'Destiny 2': 3 New Legendary Weapons To Look Out For In 2022
KEY POINTS
- "Destiny 2's" new world drops are great for tackling all of the game's content
- "Season of the Risen's" weapons can be crafted at the Enclave
- The Krait autorifle is another great option for PvE
The latest season of “Destiny 2” added more than just a few cool weapons in both the world loot pool and seasonal activity reward tables. With equipment sunsetting effectively gone, players now have even more reasons to farm for and keep these new weapons for future seasons of the game.
From new Crucible staples to some almost-mandatory picks for powerful new PvE combos specifically in “Season of the Risen,” here are the best weapons to grind for in “Destiny 2.”
Cantata-57
This Suros hand cannon is a close competitor to the well-loved Palindrome as far as PvP goes. The Cantata-57 can hit up to 36 meters without any damage fall-off if it gets the perfect perk combo. This ties with a base Palindrome with a full set of Range-related perks.
What makes the Cantata-57 worth grinding for is that it is part of the world loot pool, which means every single loot source can potentially drop one of these hand cannons. It can also drop with a few other top-tier PvP perks like Eye of the Storm, Rapid Hit and Moving Target.
Funnelweb
This 900 RPM SMG is already recognized as the true successor to the Recluse from the “Forsaken” era because of its sheer stopping power. The Funnelweb can roll with either range extenders or damage boosters, making it great in all manners of content.
With the prevalence of the Void subclass this season, this SMG is a great candidate for Volatile Rounds builds. Its fast rate of fire allows it to cause multiple explosions in a single magazine. Meanwhile, good barrel perks with Rangefinder and Accurized Rounds can boost the Funnelweb’s maximum range to auto rifle territory.
Piece of Mind
The PsiOps Battlegrounds drops a variety of powerful weapons, but the Piece of Mind pulse rifle stands out as one of the better options. This weapon rivals the Darkest Before in terms of sheer dueling power while also being much easier to farm for.
Rapid-fire pulse rifles have always been great in PvP, but with the recent buff to the weapon class itself, the Piece of Mind can shred through red bar enemies in PvE as well. With perks like Overflow and Focused Fury, this pulse rifle can be a work horse in Strikes and Raids alike. As a final cherry on top, players can craft this via the Enclave as well.
