'Destiny 2': Best Weapons To Use In Trials Of Osiris
KEY POINTS
- Trials of Osiris is a high-stakes competitive 3v3 mode that rewards unique loot to the best players
- Weapons with high burst damage and consistency are preferred for this game mode
- DIfferent maps incentivize the use of different weapon types
As the premier competitive PvP mode in “Destiny 2,” the Trials of Osiris has no shortage of players who want to win as many of their games as possible, especially those who are looking to snag their first-ever Flawless streak.
Any “Destiny 2” player will say that the Trials of Osiris is the place where only the best or most broken of loadouts can be seen on a regular basis. Players who are looking to stomp their competition will want to have only the best weapons at their disposal in this game mode, though such weapons may be hard to pinpoint to the untrained eye.
Here are the best weapons players should try using in the Trials of Osiris PvP mode in “Destiny 2.”
A Quick Note
This list will not include weapons that drop from Trials engrams as they all excel in PvP scenarios. Players should aim to acquire well-rolled versions of these weapons to get the best performance possible. However, as with the rest of “Destiny 2,” these are merely suggestions, and players should use whatever weapons they are most comfortable with.
1. Bottom Dollar
Among the available 120 RPM hand cannons, the Bottom Dollar has one of the highest base Stability values, making this incredibly easy to use. Paired with its long range and its ability to roll with Explosive Payload, the Bottom Dollar boasts a manageable recoil with an impressive effective range.
This weapon performs best in maps with medium-ranged sightlines like Wormhaven and Widow’s Court. For smaller maps, try the Ace of Spades, Fatebringer and Palindrome instead.
2. Vigilance Wing
This pulse rifle was tailor-made for the Trials of Osiris. Apart from firing five-bullet bursts, the V-Wing grants buffs to its user whenever an ally dies, allowing them to clutch rounds more easily.
For smaller maps, rapid-fire pulse rifles like the Gridskipper and Darkest Before are great alternatives.
3. The Chaperone
Ever since the nerf to spread shotguns, the Chaperone has become even more dominant. With a one-hit-kill range of approximately 12 meters, this slug shotgun can outrange even Felwinter’s Lie and outduel most of the other close-range weapons in the game.
The same logic applies to most other slug shotguns in the game.
4. Eriana’s Vow
While this exotic hand cannon isn’t able to one-tap Guardians without some sort of buff, it still offers extremely high burst damage that can allow players to mop up targets with their primary weapon. Eriana’s Vow is great for pressuring enemies for a coordinated push or getting picks on wounded targets.
Aggressive players will love Eriana’s Vow because of the mobility that it allows, but for those who would rather get one-tap kills right off the bat, consider using sniper rifles instead.
