‘Destiny 2’: Repulsor Brace Overshield Titan Build
KEY POINTS
- Repulsor Brace grants a Void Overshield when Void-debuffed combatants are defeated
- Hero's Burden and Unforgiven are the only primary weapons that have this perk so far
- Offensive Bulwark synergizes perfectly with Repulsor Brace and other Overshield sources
Many “Destiny 2” players shrugged off the new Repulsor Brace perk as something meant only for tank builds. However, its ability to constantly generate Void Overshields means it has some latent synergies with Sentinel Titans, which can result in some powerful effects.
Here’s one such build that makes full use of Repulsor Brace’s effects together with the Sentinel’s aspects and fragments in “Destiny 2.”
The Loadout
As of “Destiny 2” Season 17, Repulsor Brace only drops for two primary weapons, the Hero’s Burden and the Unforgiven, both of which are SMGs.
An Unforgiven with Repulsor Brace and Demolitionist is arguably the best primary weapon to use for this build, as they both feed more energy to the Titan’s abilities after scoring kills. This perk combo won’t deal as much damage as other rolls, but it will make up for it with increased survivability and ability spam potential.
Alternatively, players can use the Hollow Denial trace rifle, which also drops with Repulsor Brace. It can be a very effective add-clearing weapon, especially when it drops with Adaptive Munitions.
Any special or heavy weapon can do well with this build, so pick the ones that are most appropriate for the content at hand.
Feel free to use any exotic armor piece with this build, though Heart of Inmost Light tends to get the best results.
Class Setup
The two main aspects for this build are Offensive Bulwark and Bastion. The former grants more ability energy whenever kills are scored while an Overshield is active, while the latter grants on-demand Overshields upon every use of Barricade.
Bastion can be replaced with Controlled Demolition if survivability is not an issue.
For fragments, use the following:
- Echo of Instability
- Echo of Starvation
- Echo of Undermining
- Echo of Persistence
These will give players Devour for sustain as well as Weaken and Volatile Rounds for extra DPS. Use these with the following armor mods:
- Harmonic Siphon
- Font of Might
- Melee Wellmaker/Elemental Ordnance
- Elemental Time Dilation
- Bountiful Wells
- Ashes to Assets
- Momentum Transfer/Impact Induction
This will give players enough DPS to keep Devour going as well as enough grenade energy to maintain Volatile Rounds and Font of Might, further enhancing damage output. Consider using a Void heavy weapon like the Two-Tailed Fox to make use of Font of Might’s elemental damage bonus.
