Detroit is looking to bounce back from its 19-17 loss to Cleveland last week. The Lions starters didn't play very well, as they were held scoreless in the first quarter, and gave up one touchdown in each of the first two quarters.
Matt Stafford is sure to see more playing time against Baltimore. He went 4-7 against the Browns, throwing one interception and no touchdowns.
The Lions hope they get closer to finding a clear-cut No.1 running back on their roster. Jahvid Best will likely miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Both Joique Bell and Keiland Williams were productive in the first game. Bell ran for 89 yards on 16 carries, with Williams rushing for 71 yards on nine tries.
Kevin Smith is still in the lead to get the bulk of the carries in meaningful games. He carried the ball five times for 28 yards.
Mike Leshoure will also vie for playing time. He's not expected to play on Friday.
Baltimore won its first preseason game, defeating Atlanta 31-17. However, the starter struggled somewhat, trailing 17-7 heading into halftime.
The Ravens usually stingy defense was picked apart by the Falcons. Matt Ryan had a lot of success against Baltimore's secondary, completing nine of 13 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown.
Rookie Courtney Upshaw looks to help out Baltimore's defense in his NFL debut. The defensive end missed the game against Atlanta because of a shoulder injury.
Prediction: With the starters likely to play most of the first half, it will be battle of a strong defensive team against an offensive juggernaut. Early in the preseason, the offenses are sometimes ahead of the defenses. Calvin Johnson should find the end zone at least once.
Predicted Score: Detroit 28, Baltimore 20
