'Diablo 3': How To Get Sanctified Items
KEY POINTS
- Sanctified Powers can be obtained by farming for Angelic Crucibles
- Angelic Crucibles drop randomly from viable loot sources
- Crucibles are consumed once used on an item
Season 27 of "Diablo 3" added a new metagame for seasonal characters to chase after. This time, it comes in the form of Sanctified items, which offer some of the best power spikes in the game so far.
Sanctified Powers grant players new, class-specific effects that greatly augment existing abilities. These can lead to powerful setups on top of the myriad of awesome choices players can choose from. However, powers granted by Sanctified items are relatively hard to get and come with their own set of limitations.
How to Sanctify items in "Diablo 3"
To get the new powers in Season 27, players must obtain Angelic Crucibles. Unfortunately, there are no ways to directly farm for this new item. They can drop from any viable loot source at an abysmally small rate, so expect to sink in a few hours of playtime before getting one to drop.
Once an Angelic Crucible does appear, it can then be used to Sanctify any piece of gear. Doing so will cause the item to have a smokey-white border, and a random Sanctified Power will appear on the bottom of its info window.
Only one Sanctified item can be equipped at a time, but players are free to have as many of them in their stash or inventory. If an item does not roll with the power that players want, another Angelic Crucible can be applied to it to replace the existing Sanctified Power.
Each class has three Sanctified Powers, and they all offer ludicrous effects that can help players tear through Torment tiers even faster. Some of these include:
- All hits of the Monk's Way of a Hundred Fists ability are converted into the second attack of the combo
- Enemies within a large radius of a Necromancer will constantly be assaulted by Army of the Dead's Unconventional Warfare rune
- Fist of the Heavens will randomly strike nearby enemies near a Crusader
- Barbarian Whirlwind will pull and hold all enemies within 25 yards
- The Witch Doctor's Horrify ability becomes an aura that causes all enemies to take 100% more damage on top of its normal effects
Sanctified Powers will be removed at the end of the season.
