Actress Diane Kruger recently recalled her audition for the 2004 movie "Troy," saying it was "inappropriate and so uncomfortable."

"I’ve definitely come across the Weinsteins of this world from the get go," the 45-year-old actress told Variety on Monday. The actress played Helen of Troy's character in the movie.

Kruger recalled she was asked to dress up in a costume for the interview and meet the studio head, which was uncommon, as per the outlet. Usually, actors’ recorded auditions are reviewed by the studio heads and producers later.

"I remember testing for ‘Troy’ and having to go to the studio head in costume," Kruger explained. "And I felt like meat, being looked up and down and was asked, ‘Why do you think you should be playing this?’"

The actress notes this is what “Hollywood is like,” where actresses are put in such uncomfortable situations.

"I’ve been put in situations that were so inappropriate and so uncomfortable," she added. "I think when I first started out, it just felt like, this is what it’s like. This is what Hollywood is like. Also, I come from modeling and believe me, they have their moments."

The actress also opened up about her upcoming TV series "Swimming With Sharks," which had a scene where her boss asks her to get intimate with his nurse.

"Shooting that scene was just a reminder of how disgusting and acceptable bad behavior was at a certain time in our society, not just Hollywood," Kruger said. "What really drew me to this part is that it is the Hollywood of 2022."

"So women have careers, they put their families or their desires on the back burner," she added. "What does that mean once you are in a position of power? How do you complete your life? The vulnerability of this character, combined with this excessive abusive of power, was really intriguing to me."

"Swimming With Sharks" is slated to release on the Roku streaming platform, on April 15.

Kruger is currently filming a movie, titled "Joika." She will be next seen in the movies like "First Love," "Out of the Blue," "Marlowe" and "Butterfly in the Typewriter."
