Did Anyone Win Saturday’s Powerball? Feb. 5 Winning Numbers And Monday’s Jackpot

The Saturday night Powerball drawing did not produce a grand-prize winner for the $137 million jackpot with a cash value of $94.4 million.

The winning lottery numbers drawn on Feb. 5 were 5, 16, 27, 39, 61. The Powerball number was 24 with a Power Play 2X.

Since the latest jackpot has gone unclaimed, the next drawing will take place Monday night. The jackpot will grow to an estimated $147 million with a cash payout of $100.3 million.

There has been no grand-prize winner since Jan. 6, when two winners split the $632.6 million jackpot -- the seventh-largest in lottery history.

Even though there were no grand prize winners following the Saturday drawing, one player managed to become an instant millionaire.

A player from Tennessee hit the Match 5, automatically winning $1 million. Since the player also purchased a Power Play, their prize was doubled, and put their winnings for the night at $2 million. Aside from the lone millionaire, several other smaller prizes resulted from the latest drawing.

Thirteen players matched the four white ball numbers and the red Powerball, winning $50,000. Meanwhile, five players hit the Match 4 and the red Powerball, winning $100,000 thanks to a 2X Power Play purchase. The rest of the prizes from the night ranged between $4 and $200.

The latest drawing comes after the New York Lottery announced a $1 million winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in Long Island.

The player hit the Match 5 after purchasing the ticket at the convenience store in Copiague, ahead of the Wednesday night drawing.

The Powerball costs $2 per play. To become a jackpot winner, a player must match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination. Five numbers need to be selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
